Vietnam Is Too Big for One Trip

Vietnam Is Too Big for One Trip
— How to Plan Your Time
Vietnam is a country I don't think you can truly experience in just one trip. Having visited several times, I’ve found that every region offers something different — and each return gives me another reason to explore more.
From the culture and everyday life of Hanoi in the north, to the beaches of Da Nang and the charm of Hoi An in central Vietnam, and the energy of Ho Chi Minh City in the south, there is plenty to discover.
How Much Time Should You Plan for Vietnam - Too Big for One trip
If you can manage it, I recommend planning around 15 days for your Vietnam trip.
International airfare and visa expenses are part of the initial cost, so I would rather spend enough time experiencing the country than rush through too many destinations.
That doesn't mean you must see everything in one visit. Choose the places that interest you most, allow yourself time to enjoy them, and leave the rest for another trip.
Should You Visit Vietnam More Than Once?
Absolutely. Vietnam is not a destination you need to complete in a single visit.
You could explore the north on one trip, central Vietnam on another, and return later to discover the south or places you missed. This can make each holiday more relaxed and give you a reason to return.
One Practical Vietnam Visa Tip
If you are considering more than one trip to Vietnam within three months, compare the 90-day multiple-entry e-visa with the single-entry option before applying.
Choose according to your actual travel plans, and check the current requirements on Vietnam’s official e-visa website: https://evisa.gov.vn/
My Advice: Experience Vietnam, Don't Just Tick It Off
For a first visit, focus on the places that matter most to you. Don't feel pressured to cover the entire country in a few days.
Vietnam is more than a list of destinations. It is the people, the food, the culture, the everyday moments, and the experiences that stay with you after you return home.
Plan enough time to experience Vietnam — and leave something for your next visit.
